Hello, everyone :)

This is my project log for my next build and also my first topic post actually. I've put it off for a while but everything is falling in to shape now so this is the perfect time to show you guys what I'm doing in my spare time!

I've seen so many awesome builds on here over the past years and the itch to do my own project log needs to be scratched :P

So without further ado; the juicy bits!

System Spec

Case: Parvum ATX - White body and tray with super secret accents.
Motherboard: MSI Z170A XPower Gaming Titanium
CPU: intel i7 6700K
RAM: GeIL White Dragon "SUPER Low-Latency" 16GB C13 3000MHz
GPU: 2 x KFA2 GTX 980 Hall Of Fame
BOOT: 2 x Samsung 950 Pro 256GB in RAID 0
SSD: 2 x 850 EVO 250GB in RAID 0
PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 1000W White - Since I have started using these PSUs, I haven't given any other brand a second thought. They're the quietest ones I've never heard, so to speak, and look absolutely stunning.

Watercooling

- 3 x XSPC AX360 in white
- XSPC AX480 White
- EK-FB MSI Z170A XPOWER TE Monoblock - Nickel
- EK Monarch x4 RAM waterblock - Nickel
- Diamond Cooling HOF blocks with the HOF logo in the white pom top. A custom backplate with the Diamond Cooling brand name and the project name. I'm expecting awesome things from these guys. Their attention to detail and flexibility on custom requests is second to none! If you haven't heard of them before, you should definitely check them out here: www.diamondcooling.co.uk
- Monsoon 45/90 degree fittings in white with chrome accents
- Primochill 13/10mm Dual-Tone hardline fittings in white and silver/chrome
- EK-D5 Vario X-RES 100
- FrozenQ LF Reaction 360mm Reservoir (White/Clear helix - Silver caps)

Misc & Accessories

-Parvum Systems F1.0 fans in white
-EK-D5 Cover Kit (Nickel)
-CableMod 4 pack cables (White/Silver/Blue)
-If I can do it When I get to it, I'll put in a lightbox made from some very special acrylic layers. This will be situated at the bottom of the case, above the bottom rads compartment so essentially, it would be the midplate. I've always wanted to put one in to a build and the beautiful soft lighting is worthy of Odin himself.

More to come!

This looks interesting! I'd be interested to see how the stacked rads affects temps.

Definitely! It's something I haven't tried before so it should be interesting for me. I have a feeling most of the flow would fall to the lower rad though once it reaches the T between the rads so maybe a faster flow would help push more towards the top one.

Mhhhmmmm :) I'll make myself the cables once i get that stage with mine :)

Aye, they're easily the best option for extensions. Just make sure you have an ATX pin removal tool if you don't already! I'll be taking them out again once the white connectors get here

Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend :)

An update here with the Enthoo Mini XL case. I actually did this a couple of weeks ago but took pictures along the way. Nothing special in reality as it is just spraying panels but it's always good to share :D

This case is a bit of a jigsaw once you take it all apart.

These three main pieces are riveted together but wasnt too much of an issue for painting as it's still really easy to get everywhere with the can. All roughed up with 1000 grit.

After a couple of coats.

Both side panels.

I should be getting the waterblock soon so pictures should come shortly of the GPU with the white DC block.

Thanks for the feedback guys :) Sorry I haven't replied sooner!

what spray did you use? always wonder what people use to spray cases and PC parts etc I was thinking of just going to Halfords and getting some spray cans lol

I used the MTN stuff on our website. Getting paint from halfords isn't a bad call, dude. Systems guys are working on something at the moment and have used car paint with a metallic undercoat. It looks so nice.

You lucky person you. :(

Just spent £200 on my new loop parts! :p

Watercooling is so expensive when you want an awesome set up. I know that feel bro. Is it a full build that you're doing?

The GPU block arrived today from Tim at Diamond Cooling.

I knew their products were top quality but you don't realise how good until you actually have it in your hands. Sorry for the potato quality images. Also got the primochill fittings the other day too, also pictured.

I had to get a hold of some white connectors of course too. Where the case is black and white, I felt black connectors wouldn't fit quite right on the inside, seen as the Gryphon board will also have white armour.

Let me know what you think :) I'm also open to ideas although we can probably get a better picture once the board comes :)

Did you make the cable up yourself then using Cablemods stuff? Nice combo of colours you've chosen.
+1 Diamond Cooling, awesome stuff gonna be using some soon.

I did indeed. I had been waiting for them since we knew it was happening for this exact colour combo. I always like trying out new products.

Cheeky shot of the backplate here as well :)

Yeah a full build in a 780T, currently got the radiators in, but need an EK UNI Pump holder, I cannot find one anywhere! :(

Your back plate and cables look the biz!

Ooft, I think the 780T is one of only 2 Corsair cases that I like the look of. That and the 540 which was my previous case. Which pump are you using? I think we do the DDC holder. And thanks dude, I'm really am happy with the cables and the job Diamond Cooling have done. I'm expecting great things from Both of those companies.

this is one sexy build mate i can not wait to see this all done

Thanks, dude! Neither can I!

reason why I was debating this is because I was not too sure what the colour\finish would come out like using it on plastic\metal as its meant for cars rather than cases and parts.

must admit though the finish on the case does look good and so does the GPU block

Ahh, I'm sure it would be fine on all the metal parts which was most of this case to be honest. I think the only plastic part that I sprayed white was the top piece on the left and right sides and the same with the front piece. The the actual panels on the top and front are metal. I may try it as I was originally after a matte finish, which is what I have here but I'm now thinking a white metallic finish would be damn tasty :D

Taking this DVI hub off today and sawing the pci bracket down the middle. mmmm single slot tastiness. Saw JR23 do this in the Parvum MATE log and it makes sense. Much tidier.

UPDATE :)

Thanks to our in-house precision soldering wizard Josh, the whole DVI block is now completely gone from the card and is super tidy looking. Just need to cut down the leftover dvi pins and clean the rest of the flux off :)

I have JR23 to thank for the idea and Josh on our systems team to thank for the actual removal of the thing. It took a surprising amount of time due to the solder having no lead. This give the solder a higher melting point so the process took a while

Thanks for the support guys :)

The cut side needs a bit more filing (took what felt like 5 years) to make it a bit smoother. Thank to Chris for giving the bracket the chop with his dremel. I need one.

Got the cable combs on last night while the other half was reading Y The Last Man (awesome graphic novel by the way, if anyone is into them). The motherboard is literally a couple of days off so I can start assembling everything by next weekend I think :)

The card looks much sleeker without the bulky DVI port and with the new waterblock, you must have robotic hands to pull off such a task :D

Seriously though, nice work :)

Thanks, Tech! I have one of the guys here to thank for the removal of the soldered points. I would have given it a go but I chose not to chance ruining the thing :D Would have been an expensive replacement if I had.

Looks very interesting. I remember a build log that included the idea of stacking 4 120mm rads on top of each other with fans in between, can't remember for the life of me who it was tho. Will be interesting to see how this config works out!

A guy who used to work here did a build like that. It was in an In-Win case if I remember correctly and had pink fluid. Think the temps were very good actually although it depends on the hardware I guess.
