Liar.

I don't know... I asked what it was she actually did? It went something like this...

"she was a fantastic mother and she has worked really hard....**looks at Boobies**....blah de blah....secured a good future for her kids."

I wasn't really paying attention to be honest but the jist of it was she genuinely thought she was an inspiration or something :p

The idiot PM jumping on the band wagon really sums up what is wrong with life in the UK, why did he have to comment on celebrity culture. Perhaps gordon should get max clifford to get him a full page spread in heat or some other tripe of a magazine

Because she had cancer duh

How is (that in itself) an inspiration? It's a sad, and a shame, but surely not an inspiration? Duh!

It's just that 'Jade' and 'inspiration' and two words I never expected to see in the same sentence... Seriously, she didn't even know who 'Sherlock Holmes' or 'Einstein' were. She though peacocks had eyes in their feathers!

I couldn't stand the woman, but nobody deserves to go through what she and her family have done, especially at her age. While I'm sure most of us will not be touched or bothered by this news, I feel this is a time for us all to reflect on what we have and just how lucky most of us are.

Well I was being sarcastic, but what I meant was that in general most people who get cancer and are in some kind of news article are always somehow an inspiration and a marvellous person.

Oh well, nevermind. My thoughts are with the hundreds of other women who have died today from a similar illness, none of who had the attention that this ho got, even though most of them were probably better in every way

My mother died a few years ago of cancer, I don't expect anyone who didn't know her to care though, and she did some remarkable things in her life, including publications on breast feeding in the health field, she was a nurse and helped many many people over her 43 years here.

Jade Goody died today of cancer, I don't care about it, it's going to be sad for the kids, and her family, but doesn't make me bat one eyelid. She lived a 'poor' life, went on BB and became famous for doing nothing. She then milked this to get money, which is fair enough if you're in that situation. Then she regrettably got cancer and died young, not a fate I'd wish on anyone, but it happened, to me that's life, to her family it's the worst thing that has happened to them. She may have saved lives by bringing cancer screening to the attention of people and if so then she's left doing a bit of good. Still doesn't mean that I care, even if some people do.

Oh I see :) Sort of like how every soldier coming back from a foreign tour is automatically a hero?

Anyway, as much as I dispise Jade's ignorance and the fact society seems to actually honour her and reward her for this stupidity, I will say that the way she handled her last few weeks did seem 'brave', and most importantly I fully expect her open approach will save some lives by scaring some people into taking screening examination they might of otherwise of skipped!

To all those disrespecting a mother who did little to no harm during her time on this earth yet had to battle a horrible disease, I hope you show more compassion when something happens to your own families.

Of course they will. Why would you expect them not to?

Wouldn't it be "the norm" for someone not to give a damn about the death of a stranger but be affected/emotional/compassionate when someone close dies?

the only thing i don't like about her death is the ammount of media coverage she got for bieng a celeb, but then there'es literally millions of people dying of diseases and nobody give this much notice to them all combined.

RIP

all of those putting crappy posts about this some one has died to cancer take your posts else where

To all those that offer well wishing and sad comments and support and whatnot.

Just out of curiousity....do you use the phrase "at the end of the day" a lot in day-to-day conversation?
