An old Jaguar V8. What could possibly go wrong?

No, seriously, what could go wrong? Is the forum database big enough to store the list?
Pot kettle black says the man with the V8 7 series :D

Not a V8 if it's an XF-S.
It will be either a 3.0 V6 (with or without supercharger depending on year) or a 3.0 TT diesel.

You should absolutely do it though. Old XFs are super reliable. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone having an issue with one. They only get better with age and milage too.

It’s a no brainer. If you haven’t done it yet you should 100% cancel your entire day and make this happen.

I already have a 3 litre mondeo.

I think I'll keep the clk

I had an XF-S. 3.0 twin-turbo diesel.

It must have been an outlier, I had a thoroughly expensive experience with it; yours will surely be much better!

Do it, and create an ownership thread so we can all follow along.

Start by decatting it.

Decatting? Given it's a Jaaag you'll have to be more specific: do you mean fiddling around with the exhaust? Or prising all the leapers and badges off the bodywork?
