I must say I've become quite a fan of this drink. :)

Couple of questions...

Anyone else a fan? I've been drinking it straight, ice cold, and it's great. I was wondering if anyone else had any other ways of drinking it, such as any recommended particular mixers?

Secondly, and the main reason I decided to make a thread, was I think that I've stumbled across an uber bargain. This page lists the 70cl bottle as £16.95. However, in my local Sainsbury's they are selling the 50cl bottles for a seemingly unbelievable £6. (Yep six pounds exactly, for some reason.) Surely this is an error, as it works out as half price. I'm sure its the real thing, and I wasn't aware of any different types either. My mates are convinced this is a pricing error and I'd be inclinded to agree. Are we correct here? :D I'm not sure if it's the same in all Sainsbury's... but if it is, consider this a heads up. :)

'Jagerbomb', which i believe is dropping a shot of it into half a pint of red bull and then necking it. Not had one yet myself though.

They go down very easy.

Curse you all, I went to Victoria Wine to pick up some beers and ended up buying a bottle of Jägermeister :p

Bit too sickly with red bull for my tastes, it makes my tongue go funny.

When I lived out in Canada for two years, Jagermeister was THE drink if you were going to have a shot of something while you were out. JagerBombs were very popular also.

It's interesting that it's not a liquer that is really sold in bars or pubs here, I certainly haven't seen one selling any and I even work in a bar.

I'm not really a fan of the taste of it straight. But I do remember having a shot of it on New Years Eve which had whipped cream and something else with it and it actually tasted really good then.

love jaeger. It's getting more and more popular here, I notice Wetherspoons now sell "jaegerbulls". Gets you totally wasted though.

am i the only one that finds it revolting?

It is too strong and "minging". It was usually served up by hotties around the club when i used to go out. £1 a shot.

I think the Witherspoon pubs sell it.. I know the one here in Winchester does anyway.

Most of the pubs round here seem to sell it and it is pretty nice, I find it a shade sickly after the first 3 or so though. I may just have to trek to Sainsburys and see if they have the same pricing policy. :)
