Gibbo, you are no fool and a proper petrolhead, so I reckon you have got yourself a decent motor to see out the salty winter in.
You could do more damage to your Porka brake calipers (salt etc) than that car has cost you, AND you get to sell it again for similar moolah in summer
My scoob had Nankang NS2 Ultra Sports on it, they were surprisingly good in the rain, sure there are lots better, but I expected them to be throwing me into a hedge on every wet corner

I am guessing he is not underestimating the damage UK salty roads can do to the porka.
Aye and other drivers who can't drive in winter conditions.
