Jail For Disabled people

So then it is pointless sending a serial killer who may never be rehabilitated to prison? :confused:
 
didn't we send all our criminals to OZ once?

If so, maybe we can do it again and release our prison overcrowding problem.

They have lots of spare land.
 
We have mental insitutions over here designed for such people, one just down the road from my mum.

They have some real psychos in there, one lad bit all the heads of his mums budgies. One lad had been attacked by his 2 brothers and put his head through a 6ft fish tank and gave him brian damage so bad he will never get out due to his now violent behaviour.

One of them managed to eat/chew a 10cm hole in his cell wall.

Lots of paedos in there, sex offenders etc who just like to knock one off 24/7.

Sick people need proper care that they cant get in prisons. Im not agreeing that they should go free, they would be more of a threat than normal criminals due to their lack of brain function.
 
My line of work means I spend a lot of time in institutes run by the NHS that are called hospitals, but are, for intents and purposes, prisons.

The clients that are in these places are all the murderers, rapists, arsonists etc who are deemed too unstable to go to a regular prison.

There are quite a few dotted about the country, I would assume that there are similar places in Oz too.
