Jailbreak and unlock Iphones in less than 3 mins!

1.1.2 8gb iPhone purchased from the o2 store today at 3pm, unlocked and running my Orange contract sim with all sorts of jailbroken goodness by 4pm - awesome :cool:
 
i jailbroke my touch prior to this and downgraded to 1.1.1

anyone know how to get 1.1.3 on the now? tia

£269 for an 8gb model from an o2 store. I received a 1.1.2 version.

From getting home to having my orange sim in and making calls it was no more than 20 minutes.

I then updated the resources within installer (important) and installed the BSD subsystem and openSSH, before going to town on lots of useless apps such as iSolitaire.

Previous to me buying the iPhone I had a mild awareness of what was required, but knew nothing more than ZiPhone was the one to go for. I had been waiting since around xmas for a method to "mature" enough for me to trust £269 with.

Oooh, this is tempting. I've got a 6500 classic/iPod touch combination at the moment, but this could tempt me to part with both and just get an iPhone and put my T-Mobile sim in. Will it work with webnwalk etc?

My main concern is I'm constantly using the WIFI on the touch, so the batter doesn't last too long. I don't want to be in the situation where I need to have a charger everywhere I go.

Both :) I used the ziphone command with arguments -a -j -u to unlock, activate, and jailbreak in one go. It's quite a nailbiter watching various commands be executed on your new £270 toy, and having to wait to see if its ok!
 
Just done it on mine and its working. Phone shows as a USB device in windows which is kinda cool.

All thats different that I can see if the installer icon? How do I install extra apps, etc?
 
Yeah tried that with themes. It just buzzes twice when I press the home button then locks the screen. Unlocking it just has the same default theme!

EDIT: Just installing the BSD Subsystem package. Noticed it wasnt included. Will try again in a few mins!
 
Yeah just finished installing the SMB package and summerboard. Rebooted and its all sorted! For anyone else jailbreaking, dont forget to install the SMB package from the Installer!!

I had the 1.1.3 firmware for anyone interested. Works fine so far!

It comes up as SMBprefs on your homescreen with Summerboard.
