A little earlier than I thought but the rumour mill is well under way for the january transfer window. So I thought it was time for a new rumour mill thread. Please post all wild rumours and desires here with your 'I hope so..' or 'Please NO..' comments.

One of the main ones recently has of course been the defoe rumours with the swap deal involving bellamy drawing my attention

Plenty of rumours for city

Manchester City want to re-sign Shaun Wright-Phillips from Chelsea. (Mirror)

But City must brace themselves for a £15m bid for their latest young star Micah Richards from the Stamford Bridge outfit. (Mirror, Times)

There's been a few stories going around that we (liverpool) are after Defoe, one mentioning a part exchange with Bellamy. Been linked with a couple of right backs as well, Ciccinho (SP) and Lucas Niel.
Also we've signed Argentinian 17yr LB Insua on an 18month loan with an option of a permenant deal after.

Scheva back to AC as he's awful. if i knew José id be saying 'i told you so' right now.

they want David Villa as a replacement allegedly and he also allegedly has a £100m buy out clause.

i would love to see us sign torres but it won't happen. Same with hargreaves now since the latest news that he's not gonna play before xmas (i think).

I imagine fergie will be looking at British talent so defoe and bent could be on his shopping list but id rather Torres come!

Dont get me wrong I think he is a very competent striker in an average Charlton side. However I would like our ambitions to stretch above bottom of the premiership players if we are looking to strengthen significantly

Think this deals done and dusted but Spurs have signed England under 21 goalkeeper Ben Alnwick from Sunderland for £1m with Marton Fulop going the other direction.

Fulop is a decent prospect but has become unhappy at constantly being in the reserves. Alnwick expressed something similar though he'll likely be swapping one set of reserves for another. Though I've always felt Radek Cerny's Handling let him down so Alnwick may be number 2 before long.

I seem to remember Alnwick putting some good performances for Sunderland in their last disastrous premiership season?

PS. I can't see Defoe or Keane leaving.

Wont happen.
Due to some Italian FA law that prevents a specific number of none EU member players playing at a club. Or something like that. So unless theres some loop hole, or we get rid of Oliveira (please!), then i cant see it happening. Not 100% on the details, but the above is the jist of it. :)
I dont think that he'd accept a move to Inter either. Or he better hadnt do! lol. :p

I read that but I was under the impression that players could only be transfered within the same league once a year.

Didn't bellers sign in the summer, meaning that he can oly be sold again in June?

The AC Milan president guy or something said that the move wasn't possible in the near future due to his nationality. Let me see if I can find the article.

/EDIT:

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani also ruled out the possibility of Shevchenko making a return to the Giuseppe Meazza.

Galliani does not believe a deal is viable saying it would be "impossible."

"It is technically impossible," said Galliani.

"Shevchenko is a non-European player and his (non-European) spot has been taken by Ricardo Oliveira, full stop.

Celtic are appently tracking Danny Shittu(Watford), Anthony Stokes(Arsenal), and a couple of boys at Hibs, Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson.

Shaun Maloney and Alan Thompson could be on their was to Aston Sevilla.
