Holafly or Airalo.

used both, both work flawlessly out there.

Thanks. Yes, was looking at Airalo, will check out Holafly as not used them before.

I'm hearing lots of recommendations for Ubigi for Japan, but again, never used them before. Seem to be mixed reviews for a few eSim providers, which makes it difficult to decide!

I have used Airalo 3 times in Japan now. Covering area from Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, up to Sendai, Fukushima, or west to Kanazawa. In the countrysides, in the forest where there are bear warning signs.

Never found myself without coverage that I remember besides inside a tunnel on the train.
