Hey,

I missed sundays race, and watched it last night on ITV 4 @ 6PM.
but when fernando crashed, they have cut the first part. you only see him spin after he hits the wall.

i tried looking on youtube, but have yet to find any... FULL video's of it.

i want to see it from the where "he looses it"

i personally think its a cover-up, if they have not shown it in full.
he was making mistakes, loosing time.

i think he just walled it, because he knew he wasnt going to get anywhere.
aswell. as he wont be with mclaren next year too.

so has anyone got a link for the full version?
cheers :)

while he is a greasy, cheating, moody james blunt there is no doubt he is one of the best drivers and competitors in the game. Its ludicirus imho to think he all but threw away the championship due to one race not going his way.

I think the reason the first half of the crash was not shown is due to the camera facing the other way and only cutting to the crash half way though, no conspiracy theories needed.

they would have had onboard camera still running.

but... they never showed it, only showed a bit after it happend.
its got to be out there, just cant find it...

Am also interested to see the onboard from before he loses it until the end of the accident. Don't see it as a cover up though, he'll have just aquaplaned off the road like they said or something...

They showed on-board footage from one of the crashes in the live coverage (can't remember whether it was Vettel or Alonso.) Didn't show you anything useful though.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Vettel/Webber incident properly though. Due to the amount of cocking about Hamilton was doing during the first safety car (excessively backing up the traffic in poor visibility is plain irresponsible) I'd be interested to see whether he contributed to the accident or not.

Yeah but they cut into it a little late I thought? No doubt the run-up and then accident will find it's way on to the net soon.
Webber also said that Hamilton's safety car following was pretty erratic, do you still have to maintain 5 car lengths or less behind the safety car?

They said they were doing almost 200mph in the rain with that damn spray everywhere so hardly going 30mph in abit of traffic is hard for them lol, Plus its racing hes not going to give them a chance is he now

When following behind the safety car it's normal for the drivers to alternately accelerate and brake hard in order to get temperature into the brakes and tyres. This gives rise to some very high speed differentials between the cars which is pretty dangerous at the best of times. In near zero visibility it's madness.

As the guy at the front, Hamilton is responsible for the pace of the following cars and there's a certain onus on him not to cause the cars behind him to hit each other trying to avoid him because he's decided to jam on halfway around the track with no warning ;)

As I said, I'd be interested to see the incident properly because the incident *will* have been caused by such braking and I'd like to see who instigated it. Based on his driving earlier in the race I wouldn't be surprised to see that Lewis was involved in some way.

Either way its still racing, so even if he did nothing will come of it lol.

Firstly, why on earth would he throw away the race? He still stood to gain some points and there's no point in doing it to hurt the team as they're out of the constructors championship anyway and everyone there would rather Hamilton won so they were probably stifling cheers when Alonso binned it.

Secondly - nice thread title for anyone who's yet to see the race but happens to browse through this forum!

Yes I know it's two days since the race but some people may still not have seen it and be trying to avoid any news of the results so why spoil it straight away in the title. This is akin to annoying sports news readers who start their reports with "Lewis Hamilton has won the..." rather than "the Japanese Grand Prix was won by Lewis...", which at least gives you a second to jam your fingers in your ears and shout "la la la" :D

I'm likely to stop listening to anything that starts "Lewis Hamilton...." anyway :p
