From my understanding of the rules, as the red flag came out during lap 2, the results stand as at the end of lap 1, so no points.

Probably released their error of bringing the flag out a lap too early, so we'll get 1 more lap.

Do you think it would be better to split the grid with 2 pace cars and offset them on the track.

Would that clear the track quicker?

Obviously wouldn't happen today, just thinking of future races.

Had they just carried on for 10 laps under the safety car, we'd be away racing now. Looks fine out there now, and they would have cleared a lot of water.

Cue several more laps behind the SC as the FIA are too scared of adverse conditions and wasting the only opportunity to let the cars actually race before it starts coming down again.
