Just watching him on iplayer Leeds and Reading festival he's still such class act , still got his voice and stage presnece.

Favorite guy from the Brit pop era :o

I saw Pulp at the Isle of Wight festival, their first festival this year. They were awesome and yes, Jarvis is still a class act. Entertaining and interacting with the crowd, they were so so good!

Not sure I'd agree that he's still got his voice. Fair enough, I didn't see him from Leeds/Reading but the last few time I've seen him do live stuff on the tellybox it's been more talky, Shatner-esque than his heyday. Especially evident in the 2nd half of Common People.

I dont like him, however he done a couple of good tracks, there was also the drama with M Jackson who was huge compared to him even though he had a bad reputation.

Getting a bit negative in your old age.

Music is crying out for some decent bands again like pulp/Blur/Oasis after King of leon ,killers etc have good quiet :(

There will always be new and old decent bands if you look around, it's just mainstream has been taken over by R'n'B & Club music which has effectively ruined the charts.

*necro* :D

I went to Leeds Festival and he put on a fantastic show. Really got the crowd involved :) telling his stories and really getting in to his music. Probably one of the best acts of the weekend to be fair.

Care to share ? I would be eternally grateful :)

Depends what you're into, I've recently found a band called The Cat Empire, also Parralox is pretty good if you like Lady Gaga/Blondie

Club music should stay in clubs, it's part of the reason you go, by the time it's played 50 times on the radio you're sick of it in the club.

Inevitably what I'm trying to say is that each era has had a style of music that has developed and become popular and evolved into something else, however recent years have shown that club music has just become the mainstream. It's not really evolved in recent years it's just been dumbed down for the masses and is not really about the music anymore, however still enjoyable just doesn't have the style it should have retained.
