Jason Bourne to return.

Hope it lives up to the originals, they're classics in my eyes.

Sorry, but these are some of the most overrated movies of recent years, it's all pretty dull, confusing and headache inducing the action scene are repetitive after the first movie and i can barely see what the **** is going on.

You are entitled to your opinion of course, but I think most people would disagree.

Sadly I rather agree - the original one I highly rate but the ones that came after were pretty meh - The Bourne Legacy only saved by the fact Jeremy Renner is a competent actor.

So looking forward to this. After the first film came out, I was hooked and read the trilogy. The film sequels of course didn't match the story in the books but I still rated thm highly. I would much rather watch Bourne than the recent Bonds.

Not as bad as the Taken hype though...and I do mean the first movie, everyone knows the sequels are awful.

You mean the Richard Chamberlain original, or the Matt Damon remake original? :)

The Daniel Craig ones make him like a Terminator, he just comes off as a total psycho killer with no emotions or charm.
James Bond is a government killer, a civil servant who spends a lot of time drinking alone and reflecting on how soul-destroying his life is. He is a grumpy, nasty piece of work. If it weren't for the stupid romance and gadgets angle now required by years of Bond Film cultural expectations, Timothy Dalton's Bond would be the absolute definitive.
Alas, people want Film Bond instead of Book Bond, though.

I love the Bourne Films but even I have to admit the idea of a super soldier assassin trained to perfection due to an illegal secret government black ops program is possibly one of the most hackneyed back stories ever...now add to that he has amnesia??
Today it's quite hackneyed, perhaps, but I daresay it was more of a 'thing' back when the books were written.

Loved the first 2 bournes. Really didnt like ultimatum though, and the renner one was tripe. Hopefully this one will be good.

I like that hes some kind of super soldier, it's what makes the films for me him being super tough/resourceful and a genuine threat/worry for the bad guys. I dont want another more 'realistic' film where the main guy/girl gets hurt lots but wins out in the end...that's been done to death.

Well, a fairly fun and watchable action flick... And the director's decision to put most of the camera crew on pogo sticks was clearly a brave one!

Seriously, the shaky cam is with worst I've even witnessed. I'd love to see some footage of the camera men at work, seeing how they managed to move the camera around that much. In my head I have them attached to one of those old weight loss devices with a huge vibrating band around their waste.

A couple of times I actually cracked out laughing as a seemingly innocent shot of a building or person, suddenly and needlessy started spazzing out all over the shop.

Do cameramen go to spazz out courses now? Do they have letters after then names to show they've qualified in spazzing?

Honestly... Sometimes you're fighting to see what the hell is going on the camera is needlessly moving around so much! :)

EDIT: SixTwoSix - Your signature is on 8 lines for me... I've had my signature removed/blanked out in the past for that, so be careful...

Off topic, but; his sig looks fine on my screen, so..

Yeh, had this exact problem before - Different people/different browser wrap it slightly differently. When mine was fried it looked fine to me, but for a mod it obviously didn't so bam!

For me, the last word or so on each line of his sig is wrapping around transforming it into 8 lines. The only reason I bring it up, is losing your sig is obviously annoying if you have to concoct it all again after it's been wiped.

I thought Jason Bourne was great. The two main set pieces in Greece and Vegas were stunning. Best damn car chase we've seen for a good while, that's for sure. It felt a bit 'surface', story-wise but it's a very enjoyable ride.

I enjoyed it...

But like I said the shakey cam was ridiculous. It got tedious TBH for me at least.

I also got a little tired of team A, B then C and then D and then E all simply walking into Bourne and being punched out. These are professionals?

And the computer wandavium... "Clean up image", somehow magically introducing more detail into a totally blurred photo... And of course typing "Override Encryption Algorythm" invariably makes the computer do magical stuff to achieve what ever they need :)
