I'm back baby!
Found a kid unresponsive whilst walking my dog tonight. Couldn't go too close cos Rocky was going mental.

Called the ambulance. He took 15 mins to come round with them shouting in his face.

Turns out he was off his face completely. Had been sick on himself. Has been living in the field for a week, and was refusing to go to hospital.

**** me up to be honest, I thought he was dead.

my lord:(

credit to ya for doing something, few folks i know would just have ' jogged on'

hope the lads run of luck continues and he gets another shot at life:)

I agree with the fact that most people would indeed have just carried on walking and nice one for actually doing something about it. :)

Why had he been living in the field for a week, though?
And what was he off his face on :D

Sounds like he was having a pretty good night then :p

Seriously though, must have been pretty horrible for you well done for sorting him out.

Jeez, nice on gilly.

Good on ya.

Even tho ya said walkin the dog, you were really in the ferrari, lead out the window, walkin rocky.

Hopefully the kid will count his lucky stars to be found, cos most folk woulda walked on by, unfortunatley

Just proves that Gilly is in fact human... Well done for doing the right thing.

I know how it feels, went out to lunch one day and was greeted by young lad (about 9/10) completely out of it on the street, luckily the Ambulance was already there and people trying to help.

Had a similar experience myself a year or so ago.
I was working as a marshal at Leeds festival and I thought I found a body. 3 Days after the festival ended, before the cleanup crew got there, I was just walking about on my lunch taking in the destruction and found a guy in a tent. Took about 3 minutes to realise the guy was still alive (he was in a collapsed tent so it was a struggle to get close and still have room to move) and then 10 minutes and various anxious phone calls asking for help before I could wake him up.
Shook me to the core.

Just to give an idea of what the camp site looks like 3 days after the punters leave:

Reading your post reminded me exactly how I felt then. You did a good thing in helping.

Well done Gilly, i would have probably done the same.

Funnily enough back in Feb i was leaving the office after a late night doing some work...got to the tube station and there was this guy who was standing at a railing next to the main road...anyways all i saw was him fall backward...tonked his head on the steps...they were pretty sharp...i paused and thought to myself...**** me did i just see that:o...so i went over and the guy was out cold...he was drunk, completely off his head...so ended up calling the ambulance as there was blood coming out of the back of his head. Reason why i know he was drunk because when the ambulance got there, they were shouting in his face and it was plainly obvious to anyone that he was off his trolley.

Oh well i did my good deed that night and felt good about it.
