JBOD Enclosures

Can anyone suggest a good JBOD enclosure / RAID box that I can stick two 3.5" hard drives in? Would need to be connected via e-sata / usb.

imo, they're asking for trouble..

quick question..

say you've got 2x 10gb drives, and you've got 3x 4gb files to store.. how are they stored on the drives? is one file split across them, so if that drive dies, you only lose that file?

I realise it increases the risk of failure- just wanted a few product suggestions though!

That's not a problem in a JBOD setup, only RAID 0 anyway.

I've only had experience with a Stardom 4 bay device (but 2 bay version also available) and it was utter rubbish.

i'm familiar with raid 0, 1, 10, 3 and 5 but don't know how file files that are larger than one drive are handled (and what happens when you split the drives?)
