First episode is up on Amazon Prime.

A famous action hero/martial arts star comes out of retirement to assume an alter ego as undercover private contractor named Jean-Claude Johnson.

It peaked at the Nicholas Cage joke for me and not sure how they'd find enough content to keep it amusing for an entire run.

Can't see it being more than one season. Was amusing though. I've always been a fan of his comedy films.
Wasn't impressed with The Tick but will wait and see.

Anyone watching this?

Just up to episode 4 at the moment and it's a mixed bag. There's some funny stuff, but I'm not sure how much I can watch at a time and how long it'll get before it gets a bit repetitive and non funny.

It's very weird. It's "laughing at" not "laughing with" thing - we are laughing at his "acting" (especially when he does multiple characters) rather than see the plot on screen as comedic. Not for me, don't know why JCVD, regardless of his acting skills, would agree to that.

It's not like he hasn't done this before. The film JCVD is all about himself in a fictitious setting, and it was strangely watchable. Much better than his more 'normal' films.

Watched all 6 episodes now. I guess it’s basically a serialized film. Worth a watch I guess, especially if you like and/know his other films. Whether there’s a season two...? Not sure

I think this would have been better as a movie or a two part mini series - I was already getting bored of it by the end of the first episode when it was an Amazon pilot.
