Jeans

haven't we done this before?

depends how quickly they get dirty, but seem to remember someone from last time this came up saying that demin should not be washed too regularly.

Numerous times.

At some point we'll have the raw denim krew arrive calling anyone who washes jeans dirty heathens.

I know several people who never ever wash their jeans.

I had read that jeans only ever need washing when they are physically dirty...all the other times just stick them in the freezer to kill off any bugs.

A little extreme for me, but I can go around a week before washing mine as long as they are not physically dirty.

I will wash them when they get dirty or too stinky. But this can typically a month of daily use, it has been known to be several months. Washing jeans regularly seems wrong.

My shirts, socks, undies all get washed after a single wear.

Yeah I don't wash them until they get dirty...

Usually get 5-10 wears out of them!

That's grim. You probably smell pretty bad and don't realize it.

Reading further down it seems more are like this. I get they shouldn't be washed daily but for so long.. grim.

Context is everything though.

Where are the jeans worn - nights out getting all sorts of crap spilled on them then wash more frequently than say if you wear them for a desk job for 8 hours a day.

How much does the wearer sweat and how often do they wash themselves? Shower every day, it's cold and you don't sweat much and the insides aren't going to get so dirty.

Go commando then wash after use compared to substantial underwear which keeps your privates well away from the denim prolonging time between washes.

Take them out of drawer. Wear. Remove. Leave on floor/in bathroom/on a chair/on bed. Take them out of drawer....and so on.

What my wife does with them between picking them up and putting them in the drawer is her business.
