Jedi Knight pack on Steam now - yippee!

I'm surprised to see dark forces there though. Just seems like that did the original dvd release as to copy from vhs to dvd to get it out quick. There was a group of people who actually started to remodel the maps for pc but they didn't get passed the second map I believe.

Shouldn't be too long though for steam to update it, there's always something in my games list that's needing to be updated for unknown reasons to me.

One thing that did throw me off was the price, usually there's a greater saving but there's only a few games there, not really a collection. until it's a star wars pack which includes republic commando and the kotors stills it's an alright pack, but not brilliant :(

My first real game i ever purchased was jedi knight and mysteries of the sith. I remember getting stuck on levels for days because i couldnt open doors and stuff, im talking the ordinary ones that u just opened by pressing space bar (no not the locked ones!)

does this install properly on vista x64 then? I also had a problem when pressing 'esc' to get to the menu would result in a black screen.

Also remember not diplaying in 32bit colors properly on my 8800 with 3d acceleration, would only work in 16bit. Can anyone running it on an nvidia dx10 card post some screenies at all?

Just loaded it back on but couldn't stick more than a few minutes as the graphics are extremely dire, I ticked the box for 3d acceleration but don't think it worked as it probably considered my rig not up to scratch as it couldn't recognise hardly anything in the hardware dept lol .

Strange but we could only dream of the hardware we have today back then when an 8 meg graphic card was probably top of the range & it makes you smile when you read the manual with it's hints on how to improve performance by lowering everything even more

Well I caved in and ended up buying it, just couldn't stay away. Dark Forces 2 and Mysteries of the Sith work but only in software mode which is a bit poo but graphics wasn't why I liked the game in the first place.

Still if were lucky lucas may look at fixing the issue but I am not holding out or it.

Sounds like they're all broke in one way or another.

The idea of buying a pack like this on Steam is so that they patch it and improve it hence why you'd spend money on it rather than just cobble it together.

I'll wait until it's fixed or have a look on GOG as they seem to improve the game as much as possible before releasing.
