Jeremy Clarkson

People need to snap out of the getting offended on other peoples behalf and the country will be a better place for it.

I love it when he annoys the politically correct do-gooders of the state.

Love him so much I named my forum account after him.

The outrage over his One Show comments seem ridiculous now. Apparently up to 21,335 complaints now.

I'm loathe to say that those 21,335 people are stupid but watching the show it was patently obvious that it was tongue-in-cheek humour. Granted his words denegrate public service workers somewhat, but anyone who earnestly believes that he is advocating them being shot, or that all truckers murder prostitutes, are - in my opinion - devoid of both humour and common sense.

In a world where everyone is so PC because we might offend people who can't be arsed to work, and look for any excuse not to, I welcome Jeremy Clarkson's comments with a grin and a laugh! He says what we all want to say, and although he says it in jest, you know that there is some meaning behind it... Brilliant.

I was on strike on wed, when i heard what he said i just went 'pfft' and forgot about it. It didnt offend me atall.

Love top gear and clarkson.

Everything he said has been totally taken out of context. The media has hyped this up into something it's not.

Like him and Top Gear about as much as I like Simon Cowell and the X-Factor..... 2 sides of the same obnoxious coin.

From the replies in this thread, he seems to have a lot of male admirers though :D

I like him.

He's outspoken, doesn't give a **** what people think, says it like it is, completely ridiculous and OTT. Excactly what I want to read/watch when being entertained. :)

I'm offended by those in here non-offended and will offend those who shall offend others on offended their behalves whilst complaining about offence precipitated by non-offenders, especially on the offence of JDM.

Nice one Clarkson :D

People love to whinge and whine about him, but for some inexplicable reason these same people apparently can't stop themselves watching him on TV or reading about him in the news. If Clarkson disappeared from the headlines they'd be lost until they found someone else to hate.

Anyone with half a working brain cell will realise his outrageous statements are less about his personal convictions and more about publicity, so the very fact that this thread exists means he is doing an excellent job.

I find Clarkson quite amusing most of the time, he doesn't mince his words, he just says what he thinks ...which true enough sometimes is somewhat ill judged but very often he only says what a lot of people are thinking ...albeit in a slightly less diplomatic way than many would choose. But it is Clarkson's total disregard for political correctness and his refusal ever to just fall in-line with the 'mustn’t offend' crowd that make a large part of what makes him funny and appealing. Clarkson loves to shock anyway, he thrives on controversy.

For the record, I agree with what he said anyway, and let me just qualify that by saying I'm not agreeing that the strikers should actually be shot, that would be ridiculous but they do need a good hard backhand from George Osbourne ...as it was an uncalled for and down right irresponsible act at a poor time by a bunch of selfish, idiotic little gits who probably don't have the first understanding about the actual economic situation the country and the wider world is in right now. All they care about is their own little nest and screw everyone else, just let all those other hard done by tax payers keep topping up the extremely generous pension pot eh ...at a time when it's really not at all affordable. And to top it all off they thumbed their piggy little noses at a fantastically generous offer the government made them, pfff.

0.5% people actually offended
19.5% hate the BBC / hate the BBC paying talent big salaries
80% are retrospectively enraged by something they heard second-hand

Pretty much in agreement with most on here - he is who he is, he'll make light of most things and make semi-inappropriate comments without thought.

Even if he did offend people - so what? Why does it matter if you're offended anyway? Get a grip, get over it and don't take it so personally.
