Jeremy Kyle

Yeah, seeing the pricks on there makes me feel good about myself.

Also being the only think to watch when youre ill, it is rather funny watching him try to pump some sense into those idiots.

The purpose of the show is to be entertaining and you can't deny that it isn't.

I think they must be actors thou, I wouldn't embarrass myself like that anywhere and specially not on national television...

somewhere my sister knows went on the show and my sister got free tickets to sit in the audience so atleast some of it is real

The fact that these dregs exist in society is enough. I cannot think of anything more horrific than having to acknowledge their presence in my home, even if visually in HD in the corner.
The show is anything but entertaining; it’s utterly moronic and the very thought of it does nothing within me but induce embarrassment.

Nice cup of rage anyone?

Examples of his offscreen arrogance please.

One example sticks in my mind. After filming some advert or something that would play just before a commercial break, he turned to the audience with a smug look on his face and said something along the lines of "I did that in one take, I'm ******* amazing huh? Give me a round of applause! Is that all you've got!?" He didn't shut up until everyone in the audience was clapping and cheering.

Human bear baiting.

Terrible, abysmally bad television.

Cheap to make, appeals to the demographic of people who appear on it.

Awful, horrible television. It offends almost all of me watching some of the people that appear on the show, I support these people? Really. Christ.

ITV make cheap bad television. I honestly can't believe in this day and age some people have a problem with the television license, I'd pay double a year if it meant an end to the **** that ITV put out, I'd pay ITV to not do sport, and this cheap, dross.

The BBC do so much for England and the World through their World service for the money we pay them, compared to this terrible channel.

Well said, exactly my thoughts about this trash. Really cannot stand it.

I don't deny that it isn't entertaining. I completely agree that it isn't entertaining at all.

I think they must be actors thou, I wouldn't embarrass myself like that anywhere and specially not on national television...

Some people would, just to get on TV. Being on TV is their goal. The reason why they're on TV doesn't matter and they wouldn't be embarrassed anyway.

The Uncyclopedia entry on Jeremy Kyle is quite funny:
http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Jeremy_Kyle

[..]which shows that the best way to resolve social problems is to expose people's entire lives to a television audience for the purposes of entertainment, and then to have a sneering, pompous, hypocritical ****** query their every thought, movement, gesture and value in a general environment which would make a MacCarthyist witch hunt look like a 2-year-old girl's sleepover.

Sad but true.

I admit that I do watch it if they're fighting/shouting or if the story is completely absurd. It interests me that people are so deluded that they can go through life not even having a bit of respect for people (mainly their loved ones) or themselves.

It does make me feel better about my life knowing that I have morals and decency which a lot of these people don't.

What about the shows that help people find lost loved ones?

Or offer DNA tests to people for free, fact is people want to see the fighting and scum of the UK.

I cant stand it when he asks someone a question then they start to talk/answer the question and he instantly starts shouting over them. lol Ok dude give them at least 10 seconds to say something before you shout your point as loud as possible. With the retards behind clapping ..... go Jeremy ..yay

So even if the person could be making a good point Jeremy shouts over them not allowing them to say anything... good show indeed

This is the main problem I have with 'chat' shows like this, often it is about giving the host a platform to spout some sanctimonious lines to huge roars of approval from the baying audience regardless of what the guests [want to] say. In a live show like that if the guests can't think on their feet they may need a little bit of time to get their point across, but Kyle and his ilk will have got all their one-liners prepared beforehand and will steamroller over anything that gets in the way of their delivery, irrespective of the merits of the argument that could be put forward.
