Hi all,
I've currently got a mixture of power tools e.g.
- m18 milwuakee drill/impact driver with 2 x 4ah batteries
- 12v dewalt drill/impact driver with 2 x 2ah batteries
- evolution wired circular saw
I've been borrowing a parkside jigsaw which I don't really like (but I don't have anything to compare against) but am considering grabbing one for myself.

I can see you can get various cheaper wired ones for <£50, or I could grab the milwuakee m18 "D style" for £120-150 depending on model. But not sure if it's worth paying more for one in general, also how much wired/battery makes a difference with jigsaws, the one I've been borrowing is battery powered.
It's not like I'm super deep in any particular brand/battery 'platform', and my instinct is to either go cheap wired or spend more for something I already have batteries for (eg the milwuakee as dewalt don't seen to do a 12v jigsaw from a quick check). But maybe it's better to just accept having another charger to potentially use and get something else entirely? :D

Any specific models worth looking at or features worth paying for?
Cheers

I'd go for milwukee in your situation. 2 x 4ah batteries is decent already. More expensive tool will generally be better than the cheapo ones, of course once you go too expensive diminishing returns kick in hard. Cordless 100% with jigsaw.

Fair enough cheers, I've seen mixed views on D handle vs barrel style, I've only tried D handle and I didn't find it that comfortable/easy to use but obviously that was my first experience using one/is a different model anyway.

Realised my charger I think can do both 12v and 18v, and have seen positive things about the 12v barrel style due to size/weight making it really nice to use, and I think tool plus a battery or two might not cost *that* much more than the 18v D handle on its own so may try to find some comparisons before committing.

I use barrel grip style, no complaints.
