john peel's first wife married him when she was 15. it's been rumoured, maybe even known that he had his way with a lot of underage groupies when he worked in the US.

he also has ''teenage dreams'' engraved on his headstone from his favourite song teenage kicks.

'While in Dallas, in 1965, he married his first wife, Shirley Anne Milburn, then aged 15, in what Peel later described as a "mutual defence pact". The marriage was never happy and although she accompanied Peel back to Britain in 1967, they were soon separated. The divorce became final in 1973. Shirley Anne Milburn later took her own life.'

What's shocking about it?
15 was a legal age to get married in Dallas at the time.
I remember Jerry Lewis doing the same thing and when he came over to Britain he didn't dare bring his 15 year old wife.
 
Apparently JJB sports are selling Jimmy Saville tracksuits. The adult tops are fine but you're expected to squeeze in to a childs bottoms....

So that song radio 1 constantly played in his memory was his best song he played while raping young girls??? LOL
