Job Interview. advice please

I had to wait very almost 3 weeks from having an interview recently to a decision. That was after being told it would be just over a week.

Been informed that i wasn't viable for the position, and nor were any of the other applicants. I asked that if its possible to be invited to a second interview to discuss any issues that they had with me so i can possibly work on them and in turn become a better fit for the position.
They need to discuss it with the head first :/

Tbh it seems they wanted a teacher more than an IT Technician, it was all about how i interacted with the children and what would i do if they were being naughty. They didn't like when i said i would first ignore them until it became too much out of hand :/... I would have been there as an IT tech not a bloody child minder

This is no surprise. Children are your 'customers' or 'users' in a school, so you need to know how to approach them. I assume the correct answer was to raise any bad behaviour with their teacher. Ignoring them would have been the worst possible answer I'd have though...

The question was slightly more in depth and my answer was indeed so.
I said i would ignore them to start so i can get on with the task at hand, and if they became intrusive to others around them i would intervene and ask for them to calm down.
If they then refused i would inform an appropriate member of staff.

I felt that was a decent answer to a very odd question when the Job description made zero mention of any responsibilities.

It has a specific responsibilities sections and it says:
"Not responsible for any persons"

So... i am at a loss, if they wanted a teacher or a teaching assistant why not put an advert out for one?

Rather than asking for a 2nd interview just ask them for some feedback on why they felt you were suited for the position that should be pretty simple for them to answer.

Oh i did, It was based on that question.
They didn't hire anyone for the position in the end, hence why i asked for a second interview or a meeting with them.

Firm handshake, smile and make sure you are smartly dressed. Try and not lech at the students and under no circumstances are you allowed to sniff any seats or invite young girls to collect things from your home. Good luck Diagro :)

edit: didnt read the thread so seems you werent successful. Oh well

Too soon?

I am told that wearing trackies and rockports with your hands down the front of your pants increases your chance of getting the job.
