Ive got a job interview on Monday, any useful tips and / or advice would be excellent. Its for a company called Aston Lloyd & Partners for the position of a property investment consultant.

Apparently Ive passed the initial 2 stages of the recruitment process being; 1. Actually getting your CV considered and 2. 30 min telephone interview. Hence the "Final Stage" being a final assessment day in London.

Ive been asked to create a 1 to 1 pitch to display my selling tactics / techniques. I need to treat the receiver as if there a cold lead and haven't heard of the company before and sell them the service.

I'm terrified, but would be stupid to let this opportunity go. So i want to be on top form and bag the job ! hah.

Research into the company more it sounds like like they want you to show an understanding about them. Smile and act confident and positive. All i can add.

Yep, i have had a good read over there site.

Thats a good idea, ill phone anon and ask someone to tell me about the company etc.

Thanks so far.

I cold call in the job im in now.

Currently an Estate Agent Negotiator. Reason for moving job, i want to be in the city and the money they offer is outstanding.

I had an interview yesterday morning and I'd spent at least 10 minutes researching everything about the company which was quite a lot.
When the interviewer started talking about the history of the company I said that I thought he was going to ask me that and I carried on.
Ask questions and even if you don't need to, ask them to repeat something again so they know you're trying to pay attention.
A bit later he said that he was going to ask a stupid question and I said "Oh you want to know what type of car or animal I would be?".
He laughed and said "Go on, what would you be?".
I said "A Ford Mondeo Estate and a Dalmation - next question"
He just laughed.
Also make them know you're 'normal' by saying you like to go out with your mates once a week for a pint.
After the interview, even though I'd gone for one particular job, he said that he could see me in at least 3 other jobs that they need people for and if I would consider them.
He told me that the interview had been excellent and I was the only one who had asked questions when he showed me a video and a floor plan.
