Hey all,

Well looks like I've got two job interviews this week, they ain't all that but it's better than nothing :)

One's at Superdry tomorrow and the other at JD sports on Saturday.

I was just wondering, shall I go as smart Casual or wear a suit?

Thanks :)

Given the amount of people that will be going for a job like this, look as smart as you can!

I was going to do a generic reply of "wear a suit" without reading the thread. I thought that would make me look silly if it was actually about something else. Turns out I didn't even need to read the OP.

I personally would just go smart cas, suit i would feel a bit too much. Just something nice.
Jeans, Shirt, V neck etc, nice casual shoes should be perfectly fine

For those places I'd say a suit was too much. I'd go with a suit, minus the jacket. Maybe a smart/plain jumper over the top instead. It still looks very smart, but shows you're aware that a suit is probably overkill. Afterall, you'll never be wearing one whilst you're working there.

To those saying 'always suit', do you think that really applies to a job where you will never be wearing a suit? I dont think so..

I wouldnt say that you should only wear a suit to jobs where you wear one. There are plenty of jobs where you should interview in a suit

wtf is up with all the job threads and questioning what attire to weat these days?

Seriously, congrats to all those getting jobs/interviews but I can't believe that many people have to question what to wear.

Suit. Everytime. Regardless of applying to be a refuse hygeinst or an investment banker!

I just got back from an interview, if I didn't wear a suit I would have felt like an idiot.

Saying that if it's JJB working as floor staff? There's no such thing as overdressing / going too far. Yes you might feel out of place but it'll only separate you from the competition.

My point is even though sometimes a suit seems overboard, it can only do more good than harm.

I went for an interview at Woolworths when i was 16, most people were dressed down, i was in a shirt/trousers.

I got the job, the others didn't. I would rather feel a prat overdressed than under.

EDIT: just seen the OPs post above, hope it went well. :)
