Hi,

So i think my google skills are failing me, i could do with extra cash flow for various reasons, whilst i currently work part time (full time not an option due to child care etc) and my wife works full time i thought maybe something on days im home whilst little one sleeps or at night.

Indeed etc mainly just shows part time / full time only, now over time where i work is pointless there is no extra for doing it, no bonus schemes etc so thats a no go, Unlike Mrs work where over time is very well rewarded.

All i seem to find is survey jobs but i know half of these are scams, im not sure what other sort of style of home jobs there would be? can any one offer suggestions maybe?

Depends on your skillset, lots of work can be done remotely but perhaps not by you if you've not got the relevant skills or experience...

Can your current part time role be done from home or a previous role you've had? I'm assuming the answer to that is going to be no else you'd not have posted the thread and given that I think you may struggle to find anything worthwhile that you could do from home.

I mean are you an experienced developer? A qualified accountant?

If you want a good job working from home then you're usually going to have to be either self employed(or in a position where you could be) or have worked somewhere for a while then transitioned into fulfilling that role remotely(perhaps due to having to move location due to family reasons, child care, looking after a parent).

Another approach is to find a role where you can work from home on occasions - just sort out childcare for those other occasions... again this is all dependent on your personal skills/qualifications. You don't say what you can actually do.

I currently work as a returns advisor as the title however what I do is far more than that, I can and have done in the past test returned products such as laptops, graphics cards, repair pc's etc and process them further so replacements etc. Handle emails and phones and sometimes complaints. It's an it based role in short. I don't however have any decent qualifications such as programming or Web design etc nor a set skill such as engineering :(

Fix PC's seems the obvious one? Get a decent card printed and get posting... Take on mostly domestic work, you can collect when your partner is home or arange for them to drop off / collect. It will take a while to get a good customer base but its easy work and profitable.. A few k a month should be doable part time

Whilst nice idea I can't see 2k as id need to buy parts etc to keep in which would be added cost I just don't have but cheers for the idea

No joke but this is true.

Plenty of money to be made if you do the right courses and in the right frame of mind to deal with kids.

Not just kids, someone else's kids! Also, you have to deal with the parents.

Not worth the hassle in my eyes.

I seriously doubt you can make 2k a month working from home, part time, fixing PC's...

Nope! Not gonna happen!

But I'd go with starting something of your own, website design would be a solid idea...if you can code websites ofcourse :)

If not, becoming a full stack developer is a solid option for remote work. :) Not exactly a quick fix though...

You'd probably be better off spending the time advancing your skills than looking for some 2 bit work from home scheme that pays pennies.

If you can learn to code and do it well you can make decent money from home but it'll take time and there's a whole host of people already out there usually willing to do the work either cheaper or quicker when they've got years of experience.
