Agreed. Might still be worth pursuing with more modest goals in mind, perhaps also covering mobile devices (based on what I see on local social media, people are smashing their iPhone screens every day and want them replaced).
[Un]fortunately PC software problems are seemingly less commonplace nowadays, as Windows has got a lot more robust, virus/security software etc is more commonly used etc, more reliable/simplier plug'n'play etc, alongside Joe Public generally having more of a basic understanding of technology so less likely to need help for trivial tasks like installing software/hardware. There is also a trend towards mobile so the days when every home used a desktop PC are fading away. PCs/laptops for general use are also a lot cheaper than they used to be so some people may just replace old kit rather than pay someone a small fortune to patch it up.
