To be fair, he was his half brother and had no contact with him. But Joey certainly is a thug; fighting with a 15 year old fan in pre-season, poking a cigar in the eyes of a teammate, this and many more.

I kind of hope we don't tbh. As good a player he is I don't think he's worth the baggage. Just as he seems to be getting over his problems he goes and does something else stupid.

Also the dressing room at the Boro is the best it's being for a very long time and not too sure what sort of effect Barton would have on it. I know that Southgate and Gibson are being very careful who they sign and are looking equally at a players attitude as well as ability.

I would be very weary of signing him, how can he expect to be a Premiership player and still carry on like he does? A stop in his wages of a couple of months would soon put a stop to it - idiot TBH, I pity the club that signs him.

I hate seeing any of them play as they have been gifted with a talent, a pay packet that people dream of, and what do they do? Abuse it and have no care for anyone else.

They should be banned from football.

Infact ... I think just like my profession - law - a certain amount of conduct should be required and criminal acts such as this should react in a ban from the game. Maybe it would promote them to act properly.
