Wouldn't you think the pilots would have seen him a mile off and or moved out the way? I'm also sure the guy should have been able to hear an approaching areoplane.

And this is why i believe all planes should have horns.

Most of them do believe it or not. Usually called "Ground Call Horn" for alerting ground staff.

Pilots' visibility limited by oil on windscreen, and they could hardly move elswhere.

Engine was out, makes a glider, plus loud music and hows he gonna know there's a plane behind him.
