Johan Cruyff has passed away.

This one got me, he inspired a generation.

Not religious but if you do go somewhere I hope he's turning people inside out with his turn :)

What a shame. Not surprised as I know he had quite advanced lung cancer.

Up in the absolute legendary elite alongside the likes of Pele, Maradona, Messi and Ronaldo.

RIP. World of football is very sad today. I hope there will be a minutes silence (or applause) at all this weekends internationals.
 
I think he fairly recently said cancer treatment was going extremely well. It sounds a bit like one of the bad cases where the cancer was being beaten but the treatment itself killed him. Horrible as everyone starts to feel hopeful then gets smacked down.

Before my time but as with Pele, Maradona and the other legends the old games you see on tv, he screamed class with every touch.
 
RIP :( one of the greats of the football world. Loved watching him when I was young, brilliant player with absolutely wonderful skills.
 
Great player but I think his biggest legacy is the style of play. Crazy manger that would throw a cb into the game when needing to score as an attacking move.

One of a kind. I bet all of the Dutch clubs will pay their respects next weekend & the National team will do so tomorrow. (I think most teams on international duty will do so too)

My thoughts are with his family & my condolences to his son Jordi. :(
