In a way Barcelona owe everything to him. He was the one who brought the whole youth philosophy to the club and his play style influenced so many.

Isn't it a shame when some peado is getting the attention in the news when a player and manager like Johan should be getting it all for the right reasons!

If we are talking about influence on the 'modern game', and by that the progression of 'total football' or 'totaalvoetbal' in to what it is now - which is more than just a 'style' it is a ideology or footballing philosophy if you will.

There are two people involved in this; Rinus Michels (who can be seen as the father) and Johan Cruyff (the son :p), between the two, Ajax and Barcelona owe them... everything.
