John Button has passed away

Real shock at work, hope they can give him a championship winning car this year and he can win it for him, hope it spurs him on.
 
What a huge shame, he was such a character and a Dad that completely backed his son from the very start right up until the very end - a constant in supporting JB at every race. He was very down to earth, yet completely lived the F1 lifestyle to the very maximum, old school and made no apologies for it, nor did he need to. He's partying with Senna right now.
 
For those who are curious, there was only one race during JB's career so far, that his father was not in attendance, and that was Brazil '01, which he missed due to illness.

Remember him mostly from the amount of time he spent infront of the camera after Jensons season with Brawn, seemed like a really nice guy and clearly super proud of his son. RIP.
 
He was an immensely proud Dad, just as Jenson is an immensely proud son, I'll never forget the way John looked at Jenson on top of the podium in 2011 at Canada. You could clearly lip read him say "that's my son" to Jessica with a tear in his eye.
