Australian arm forces are like the uk, relatively small, but highly trained and well equipped.

I much prefer living in the world with a country like USA, they have so much resource they can if they wish bring states like this into control on there own. Hopfully they wont have to. But we saw how spineless the UN where with Iraq.

I recall a conversation a few years back with a number of ex and current squaddies in the British Army and every single one of them said they would rather have an Australian soldier standing next to them than any other - and that includes any country you'd care to name. That says a lot to me.

To me it suggests that standing next to an Australian is guaranteed to make even the dimmest squaddie look good.
