John Terry Racism Trial

Would you like to back up your claim that "everyone else knows what John Terry is"?

You won't get an answer because he's not a mind reader. Just substitute "everyone else knows" by "I know" and you see where he’s coming from.

It's a stretch, imo - I think it's fair to say most people understand what choc-ice/coconut/etc mean. What other interpretation is there?!

There isn't another interpretation that is believable.

I remember Suarez apologists being lambasted, but it seems Rio can do no wrong :o.

Looks like the Rio defence team is already on the case. :D

Hopefully Sir Alex is on the phone to the FA, getting any potential ban ruled out for Rio and while he's on making sure Terry's ban at least matches Suarez's 8 games.

Don't forget that he'll also be asking for Rio to be reinstated as England captain. Anything else?

JT denies FA charge:

John Terry has today [Friday 3 August 2012] denied an FA charge of using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour, which included a reference to ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race, towards Queens Park Rangers’ Anton Ferdinand.

The Chelsea player has requested a personal hearing, the date of which will be set in due course. During this period John Terry remains available to play for England.

The FA will make no further comment during this time.

According to the DM the FA hearing will now take place on the 24th of September in a secret location over two or three days.

So finally FA Independent Commission starts today. It only requires "balance of probability" as opposed to "beyond reasonable doubt" to reach a verdict. Given this lower burden of proof I suspect that there haven’t been many not guilty bets placed.

I didn't see many people complaining when somebody else was found guilty under the FA's rules.

Someone else wasn't cleared in a court of law and you didn't see many people complaining because they weren't Liverpool fans. Surely that’s not too difficult to comprehend. ;)
