Now, if it were possible, wouldn't you just travel back and make a £1000 deposit into a high interest bank account and then bugger off 'back' to your own time and invest in a Time Machine GT-R?
Why would you need to?
After all, in your time you would already have a high interest bank account with several years interest on the initial £1k to dip into so you could buy your Time Machine GT-R
That's the problem. If you went back in time to change something, in your time it would have always been that way. You would not know any different, so how could you change it? "It" doesn't exist to change.
Consider it like this. If you went back in time to alter the genetics of your ancestors so that you would be born with wings... You would have always had wings, so why would you consider the need to go back in time in the first place?? You have wings. You were born with them. It's the way it is.
If you decided to go back in time to give yourself wings, then you MUST be doomed to failure, other wise, as I said, you would have them already.
