Jonny the bagger

It's russian progaganda I tell you!...subliminaly or something.

Putting the note in people's shopping is like going to their houses and putting junk mail in the letterbox, people don't actually want it. At a supermarket etc. I just like the person on the till to give service with a smile and not be a grumpy ****.

When I was working in supermarkets I'd chat to the customers whilst working, without slowing my work, mostly 'cause I was bored not for job satisfaction or good CS.

Ive worked in retail for 2years now, and i am constantly nice to customers, smily face, warm greeting, holding the carrier bag at the corners etc and for what? ive had no "thank you" but this weekend i got a complaint because my queue was too long. So moral of the story is.... Why be nice when at the end of the day you get crap thrown at you, thats basically what retail is, and i only think the reason that jonny's "thought of the day" worked was because he was suffering from downs syndrome.

end of rant ;p

But atleast i spoke about the video ;D

I bet he still didn't get a pay rise.

Exactly. Where's the incentive for the average shop assistant to put in the extra effort and provide good customer service? Why would someone at that level of the business want to put more in when they know they won't get any more out?

If anyone needs educating about the wonders of motivation it's obviously managers. Do the makers of that video really believe in that carp?

i go in my local sainsburys a lot but thats only because i fancy one of checkout girls. Think i should go for it when shes packing my groceries?

It was a nice story but what is sickening is a company that is all about profit USING and exploiting the goodness of someone to sell more stuff and gain more greedy profit for themselves......jeez. Welcome to the sickness
