I'm looking to switch to a more stylish build using a BTF board and Lian Li cooling and thought the D300 in white is suitable with these parts

MSI PRO B850M-A WIFI PZ
9800X3D
Lian Li HydroShift II LCD-S 360CL White All In One
Use existing Corsair Vengeance 2x 16gb 6000mhz
Asus GeForce RTX 5070 Prime OC White
Corsair RM750e white

Along with a lian Li rear exhaust fan, how many additional Lian Li fans would be needed?

A triple reverse blade at the back and a single reverse blade on the bottom or nothing at all?

I won't be overclocking anything

thanks

What are you using the system for?

Gaming? What games?

I wouldn't worry too much about thermals until you get the system and can test.

I have 2 X 120mm Noctua fans on my ITX build that I have unplugged because thermals weren't an issue and silence was since it's in my room.

You can spend the money on fans but they may only look good rather than actually making an appreciable difference.

Nothing intensive, mainly Warframe/Sniper Elite/Borderlands and general web browsing

It's a good build without knowing pricing so enjoy it and you can always test thermals after buying it.

Best you can do for thermals out of the box is to make sure that your mounting pressure is correct, fan orientation is correct and to use quality thermal past.

I would ask @Tetras about that PSU to make sure that it's a quality unit first as I don't know PSUs well.

I wouldn't invest in an RMe as of 2026, they're essentially Corsair's budget modular range that used to be decent but saw a decline after the company changed OEM last year. There's almost always a better alternative for around the same price range too, but knowing how much you have to spend would go a long way.

Could you give this a read and fill the template in:

I've used the nzxt c850 in a previous build and it's a veryt solid psu. the lian li edge haven't seen a review apart from the 1000w, but it's cheaper...i like the corsair rmx or rmx shift psu(having got those). like @JollyJamma not sold on the 'e' versions

Just built in the lian li vector v100 after coming from a 011d evo as wanted a change and couldn't decide. For such a cheap case I'm pretty amazed how well it turned out and looks. Use the same cooler (except the c variant rather than square, with two reverse blade cl fans at bottom...used a trio of the sl reverse blades with the lcd screen for the back (just as wanted to see what they looked like and were on offer for me so. dont have a btf board but nitro+ 9070xt has hidden cables so overall get same effect...

if using the D300 i'd prob do something simiar and get a trio reverse bladesd for back and 2 reverse blades sitting on the psu shroud blowing air into the gpu...I really like the cl fans..nice clean look so probable just use those allround. In other builds i did in a corsair 3500x, i didn't bother with front bottom or rear expaust...5 intakes and 3 out, through a rad, you have plenty of positive pressure anyway
