Jonsbo VR3 Mini-ITX PC Case – with PCIe 4.0 Riser Cable

After having the Cooler Master NR200P, LAIN LI Q58, Followed by Ssupd Meshlicious.

Jonsbo VR3 Hands down most Easy to build in,
Space under the Motherboard tray for CPU 8Pin & 24 Pin & did not need Extension cables
PCI-E Cable going into the hole below the motherboard tray
GPU & HDMI Fitting now made so easy.
No more Fiddly Silver GPU Standoffs poles or front rad rails Adjust
No more cables going down the left hand side of the GPU, I did not even need cable ties.

Note: My Arctic Freezer II AIO Rad thickness is 38cm & the Fans 25cm Thickness
So just about got it in front with like 1mm to spare, Also the Hoses at to Face Down
Due to the small footprint of the Case & Design.

Thank you OCUK for top service as always/ Swift Delivery.
Was lucky to get one of the last white Version, before going back to Pre order.

Jonsbo PCI-E 4.0 RISER works fine, PCIE Gen in Bios is on Auto & switched to Gen 4.0 on boot
No artifacts on Desktop or in game.

Good CPU Temp even with rad fans on low rpm,
The Build is Dead silent, Corsair Platinum PSU fan only spins low RPM if the wattage gets to around
350w Usage.

The Main frame slides out from the rear of the outer case frame.

Without the outer Frame on its around the same size of the Meshlicious.

Accessories & Install guide, easy to locate the right Screws to use.

CPU 8pin & 24 Pin Going under motherboard made possible by the tall motherboard standoffs,
No Extension cables needed.

Graphics card now made easy due to the orientation,
Power PCI-E Cables now plugged in from the right & easy to get to GPU Ports being up top,
GPU'S Over 30cm can be mounted by the adjustable PCI Bracket that can move up.

Maybe a draw back to some, Jonsbo I/0 Front panel Type C port is integrated with the USB 3.0 19/20 pin motherboard port,
So may not get full speed like 10GB from a High end External SSD, I am using the Type C on my GPU,
Otherwise would use the Type C on back of motherboard.

CPU 8pin going behind motherboard tray.

24 Pin going behind motherboard tray.

All PSU cables management now made easy.
The case comes with a ATX to SFX Adaptor Plate, I used the one that come with my Corsair PSU.

I just had this conversation with Jonsbo. (I'd still like to see your temp data, if you'd share it, and I'm going to attempt the case, regardless; if it sucks, I'll go Meshlicious.)

Hello, In English that isn't broken, please explain what this means: Note : It is recommended to use reverse gpu for vertical installing the high-end gpu. [editor's note: this comment was present on the NewEgg US product page as of 8/12/22] "use reverse GPU": make that make sense, please. What does it mean? (See attachment.)

Dear , Thank you very much for your question. The VR3 is the model with the GPU installed vertically, for good cooling , so we suggest : When the graphics card is installed vertically, it is recommended to use the graphics card with anti gravity function. If there is any other inquires, pls contact us freely. Best Rgds and Thks, Janey Yan/JONSBO

I don't know what a GPU with an "anti-gravity function" is. Could you provide an example?

Dear , At first pls note the GPU without Anti-gravity function also can be installed to our case. On the other hand " the anti-gravity function" is a frontier technology, as we know there is a brand "Igame" , his 30 series gpu has this function. the brand in China is " COLORFUL". May something can help you . Best Rgds And Thks, Janey Yan/JONSBO

What problem exists with this case that would cause someone to require an "anti-gravity GPU"? I have read that certain, if not most GPUs, overheat in the configuration VR3 employs--with the I/O panel facing upward. Is that the problem that you're indicating exists? Please respond without ambiguity.

Dear , Thank you for your reminding, it is our fault not considering the Anti-gravity GPU is not popular now, we make this note just want let the customers to know if can use this kind of GPU will be better for dissipation heat for case with vertical installing the GPU . We will delete this Remark to avoid the miss understanding. Thank you. Best Rgds And Thks, Janey Yan/JONSBO

So, you're saying that current GPUs overheat in the configuration that VR3 requires. (Thanks for clarifying. I'll return it.)

Dear , It is ok, you can return. Best Rgds, Janey Yan/JONSBO

Whether it's your fault or not, you need to clarify "reverse GPU" on the product page so that people understand what you mean by this. To "delete this remark" suggests that you're attempting to cover something up. (That doesn't work, in America.) I'd rather you explain the effect on current GPUs of the configuration required. Do you have data that supports the apparent conclusion that current GPUs don't perform well in the configuration that VR3 requires? I am going to attempt to use my RX 6800 in the case prior to returning it, nonetheless, as I'm curious as to how poorly it might perform.

Dear, As for our model VR3, this is a mesh case, with good dissipation heat by the mesh structure, we have many customers use RX6800 for it, they are satisfied with it too. As for the VR3 case, due to the vertical installing GPU , there are a little affect heat dissipation than the normal level installing, but it is in acceptable heat dissipation range. May there is something can help you. Best Rgds and Thks, Janey Yan/JONSBO

Would think the Temps be same or better since the Jonsbo based off the same frame design as Meshlicious, They made the installing of hardware easy in the VR3 a +
Case outer Shell frame Hole diameter is around 2.5mm, That maybe bigger than the Meshlicious. so another + for air breathing

anti-gravity function - Jonsbo to the Moon ?

My GPU 6800 installed vertically is solid no movement due to the 2 screws on the PCI Bracket & slotted into the Riser cable board.

A Big long GPU horizontal mounted may Shag down, Will not in the vertically position.

Will do some bench marks later running Heaven 4.0 & playing games. :)
Not sure on Futuremark 3DMark, since the free version is very basic & locked of all the main Benchmarking tell you upgrade/pay.

The (apparent) issue is that installing certain GPUs I/O up causes heat pipes to fail to function properly (at least in the case of a number of 30-series cards, or so I have gathered). That's what Jonsbo conceded in their replies (or so it would appear). That's why I'm curious of temps, "in your case." (In your case.) :) I'm guessing that the OEM 6800 is less susceptible to this given the vapor chamber design, but I'm no engineer. (I'm also guessing that they didn't actually check with anyone who owns a 6800 to determine how satisfied they are.) :)

By the way, have you read the paragraph on their product page (as auto-translated--by Edge, anyway)? :| :D

In response to the "furnace offensive" of CPUs and GPUs, Josper VR3 came into being. Supported by 325mm in-length graphics cards, it is compatible with most mid- to high-end graphics cards. Three-sided iron mesh fresh air and 280 cold row support, let your flood beast docile like meow. Double 2.5 + double 3.5 optional hard disk slot to create "small apartment type large villa". Pull-out structure installation friendly MAX.
