joystick recomendation...

im after a joystick to (learn to) fly jets/helis in bf3 and also play some flying games wings of prey has taken my fancy.

budget of £40.

is there any point in spend 40 on http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GC-053-SK&groupid=702&catid=288&subcat=352 which ahs been recommended to me or will a 20 quid logitech 1 do the job for me???

Hi, I really recommend the Xbox wireless controller. Has made a massive addition to my pc gaming and works well in bf3

The Saitek has some decent reviews from what i've seen and works with BF3. Bought WoP in the steam sale, it gets a lot of flak

but I think it's great, the graphics are gorgeous and on the harder settings it's a real challegnge to fly.

The Saitek software is really good, and allows virtually infinite number of buttons by using clutch buttons and switching profiles. I can't comment on the Logitech software really, I just know Saitek is great as I have an x52 pro.

Whatever you decide to get, make sure it has a twist rudder or you will be kicking yourself!

it says twist axis for rudder???is that the right thing jazzerman???

Rise of Flight is a good one, the planes are not complicated to manage as they are from WWI, so you can simply concentrate on flying.

You can download and play with two planes for free, so no reason not to try it!

Would also have reccomended the thrustmaster to ya, got one myself and its really underpriced.

Saitek have a good reputation of making great joysticks. Enjoy

Considered this one myself for the HOTAS layout but heard the stick is abit loose and imprecise. It does look good for the money though.

I can kind of see where they're coming from but for the money there is really nothing to complain about.

I'd pull the trigger and order today but ocuk seem to have a chronic shortage of flight sticks.
