I guess the problem with being so negative on a forum all the time like you are is that when you ask a simple question similar to ones that you regularly berate then you end up looking a bit silly.

Try relaxing a bit, to be honest you come across as a complete **** in GD and I'm sure you're not really.

I've never been unemployed thankfully - been in constant work (not for the same company) since I left college in 1994.

Well done on getting a job, but asking if you can get extra money even further is a bit galling. The nation is broke partly because of excessive handouts.

I'm actually quite surprised the thread hasn't gotten as far as searing your skin off with flaming hellfire... yet. Your scrounging arse finally got a job now shut up and put up.

Those who are attacking you for the suggestion of the 'bonus' are simply fortunate enough to have never found themselves unemployed for a significant period of time through no fault of their own. That 'bonus' could simply be what you need to buy a cheap suit/shoes/shirt, etc. or perhaps need to invest in travel prior to your first pay-day. JSA on its own just simply cannot cut it!

However... three years?

The bonus you are looking for is the self respect of your first pay cheque and the satisfaction that you are not being subsidised by tax payers such as myself anymore.

I bloody hope not. The idea of JSA is so your life doesn't fall apart when you're looking for work. Not to give you a handout for getting a job.
You ask me after a certain period of time you should have your assets seized and be demoted to living in some kind of big unemployment hostel where you're given food and water until you get a job, then given your stuff back when you starting paying off what you owe. If you're hunting for a job and you're out every day, you should have a job within a few months even if it is a part time toilet attendant, 3 years is downright ridiculous.
