Clothing. You should wear
A cycle helmet which conforms to current regulations
Appropriate clothes for cycling...
Light coloured or flourescent clothing which helps other road user to see you in daylight and poor light
Reflective clothing and/or accessories.
All bold and colours copied. At night you MUST have front and rear lights lit. It MUST also be fitted with a rear reflector...

Ok how would cyclists ride from town to town? I know, increase council tax £500 a year, and spend billions on nationwide cyclelanes that are equal in inter-connectivity as roads. If you want cyclists off the roads hand over the cash to do so.
Highway code allows two cyclists to ride abreast. And for cyclists to ride on the roads.
TheMightyTen said:Most cycle lanes in Brum are just glorified car parks (Well most people who constantly park on them seem to think so) so we're forced to use the roads. Does the council do anything about it, no, so tough **** to anyone who's journey is delayed by 30 seconds because they can't get around me.

How would you like it if i got a couple of my chavtastic mates in our cars and we drove 2 abreast at 13mph down the a56 at 8:15am on a monday while you where on your way to work, made you very late and fustrated.
Personally in the car, i am tired of watching bikes jump red lights, give way lines and generally be a dangerous. I normally go out of my way to block the way of a cyclist on the road. When i do they simply mount the pavement and carry on. I am sure not many people would be happy if i simply mounted the pavement to dirve arround a traffic jam in my car.
Dont get me wrong i enjoy cycling, i go mountain biking most weekends at Delamere and North Wales.
