is it not? my bad - just heard the wenches at work describing it as one so thought it was - apologies.

out of curiosity what is it if not a juicer?

A Jucier extras all the healthy parts of fruit and vegetables leaving you with sugar and water, a blender leaves the fiber and nutrient rich skin.

Juicer - Half the product goes in the bin and only the juice is served into a glass.

Blender - Everything goes into the glass.

Juicing and blending IMO are fads. It's healthier to just eat said fruit. By blending or juicing them you usually increase the number that you would usually have and thereby increase sugar and calories.

e.g. in a day you might eat a banana and an apple. in 1 smoothie from a blender you could easily have an apple, banana, strawberries, raspberries and cranberries all within the same shake. the blender will have done all the hard work your body normally does for you thereby meaning the fruits will pass through your system quicker and thereby also the sugars. that means insulin spikes as well as your body using less energy to consume it which is a bad thing as you burn less calories effectively making it more calorific than eating said fruit.

having foods in their natural states is always the most healthiest option.

i own a vitamix (£450) and a nutri ninja auto iq (£100) as well as some fancy juicer (£150).

IMO the juicer is the worst product out of all 3, it makes the most mess, is a PITA to clean and you literally have to use thousands of fruit to get 1 glass of juice. The easiest to use is the nutri ninja auto iq, however the best product is the vitamix.

If on a budget get a ninja if not then get a vitamix
