I had to make a thread about how pleased i am, i have just 7v'd the fans in my case as i was getting annoyed with the noise. you guys may remember that i made a thread about getting higher than normal temps on my system, well after 7v my fans my cpu now idles at 28/29c and load temps after running prime and TOAST are 38c, and it's so quiet love it, for refference i have a panaflo m1a intake, thermaltake thunderblade on my TT big typhoon and a YS-Tech 120mm exhaust (thanks welshtom ;))

So how did going from 12v down to 7v drop temperatures???
Lol, I think I'm missing something :D

maybe the faster fan at the back was starving the cpu fan of air. It's easily done.i'll say one thing though, 38c load @ 2.9ghz is virtually impossible running silent on air cooling. i'm doubting that reading tbh mate. especially when im 32c idle 48c load with my opty 148 @ 2980mhz using a scythe ninja

I say you got the fan wrong way round yet even still

Ys tech at front as it's a heavy sucker so will getlots of cool air in there

well i have sent welshtom screenies and did set a automated log of temps, cpu wasn't at 2.9ghz for those i have nocked it back to 2.8ghz and 1.425v. the clock in my sig was pure benchmark material just haven't got round to changeing it :p

aaaaaah ok. that sound more reasonable lol. 120mm fans all round is sweet, isn't it?

there is one reason why they could have dropped and that was that the airflow was unbalanced, ie; too much in, too little out. or the otherway round.

it really isnt. air turbulance could easily do it, like i discribed above.
