Hello there, just wanted to have these few questions answered please...

1. When looking to Crossfire two Graphics Cards, Must they be the same cards? I already have a VTX3D AMD Radeon HD7750, Would I be able to purchase a 7800+ Graphics card and notice any problems?

2. Is this motherboard a good choice for money? (£800 total build budget)

3. Will these RAM Cards Fit into this motherboard?

4. Is looking at the PSU the final product priority? (Working out total Watt consumption first?)

5. I currently have Atrix MD-002B Midi Tower Case will this fit the motherboard? and good enough cooling for a mid gaming PC? or should I venture into purchasing a new case?

6. What good Internal HDD's are available for good money?

7. Is a SSD worth it at the current time? If so, any good options?

Lots of questions for one post! Here are some answers.

You can crossfire two different cards, but they have to be quite similar. I don't think you can do it with a 77xx and 78xx card. I would just sell your 7750 and get a 7950. It'll be better.

If you're looking for a new board, go for Haswell instead of Ivy Bridge.

The RAM's fine.

PSU depends on the type/number of GPU/s. A typical system with 1 graphics card will be fine with a good quality 500W PSU.

Just check the case takes ATX boards as well as micro-ATX.

1TB Seagate and WD drives are quite cheap and fast.

Yes! Samsung 120GB EVO is a good one.

Thank you for the fast response,

With the Motherboards, whilst searching through the OcUK Stock, how do I find out which ones are Haswell, as opposed to Ivy Bridge, i've looked around done some searches, but I seem to be going in circles!
**Edit: Just did a few more searches, and found that Z87 is a link to Haswell? So is that the sort of boards i should be looking at? Z87 Chipset, (sorry complete novice)
**Edit2:This motherboard + This CPU Seem a better choice?

The Case is fine for ATX + mATX suitability!

Will have to look into your options for HDD + SDD Thank you again!

Taking all your current advice, This is what I am left with

Now I need a hand with selecting a PSU, I'll be sticking with 1 GPU for now..
Thanks again!

I'd really advise the 4670K, as you can overclock that and take advantage of the board, even if you don't want to yet. If you absolutely don't want to overclock, you can use the H87 chipset instead to save a little bit.

You don't want that 7950, it's too expensive. I'd recommend this one:

The rest is fine. This is a good PSU for a single card set up:

Hey mate.

I recently got help from the community for a £800 build. The thread is here. I went with tamzzy's spec in post #5. You could maybe go for the 120gb SSD which would allow room for a 7950. I personally went with the bigger drive as I dual boot and I know I'll be upgrading the graphics card throughout the system's lifetime whereas more unlikely to get a better HDD.

Thank you very much for the assistance Teppic!

Picked up the 4670K instead, and with the Graphics Card, are you an AMD fan? Because I was looking into this as an alternative, do you have any views on it?
Added that PSU to the list too!

The 670 vs 7950 question comes up a lot - I'd recommend the 7950 every time, not because it's AMD but because it has a higher spec. The extra memory could make a big difference with upcoming games.

You say that with your current build i suspect is your 'signature' including the 670 ;)

Not sure what to believe now!

I'll go with what you offered (7950) and see how the fairs for me! Thank you for the help, and I've just realised that i'm missing Fans + Heatsink, How mandatory are these, as in, (Cheap will do fine?)

I got the 670 when the 7950 was £70 more :) At the same price I wouldn't pick the 670.

If you think you won't go 7950 Crossfire, I'd go for this slightly cheaper board to save a bit:

Heatsink/fan - the Coolermaster Hyper 212 is very good for the money (£25ish), quiet and performs well. It's a must if you a quiet system that you can overclock.

Well there we have it then, the current build been ordered

Really appreciate the assistance you gave me!

Now I can slowly start to upgrade overtime parts to my computer!

That's a great build, it'll run brilliantly. You'll also get 8 free games with the card if you're lucky and they've still got them left. You won't need to upgrade anything really for a while - maybe get a new case if you think you'd like a change :)

Doesn't mention anything about games? :(
Yeah the case looks a bit.. bland so probably look for a new come the next Paycheck!

Once again thank you, and I don't know of anyway to +1 you, but if there is feel free to tell me, if not

+1 Teppic! The help I needed! :)

Have a good evening! Im off to bed knowing I'll be receiving my Build hopefully Friday (Day off) haha!

Heh, there's the trust thing but nobody really uses it I think :)

If you look at the order on your account hopefully you'll see the games added to the bottom. They don't appear until you've ordered.

You have to go and look at your order history and open the order. There should be at the very least the gold voucher (which gives you three games).

Just used the trust system, 1 Positive comment for you ;) hahaha! no-one will see it, but ahh well!
Yeh got the games got all 7! :) Thank you for that, i'd of never spotted them! hahahaha

Thanks for the comment, I've seen it even if nobody else does :)

Good news on the games - I got 5 when I ordered my 7850 but missed out on Far Cry 3. The normal deal anywhere else is 3 so it's brilliant anyway ;)
