Hey guys,

I have bought from OCUK twice now, very happy customer :D

I have been on holdiday for 2 weeks and when i got home i was planning on going on a LAN party... but i got the dates wrong not till next month

So purchased a ATI 4870 XXX Edition... get home, go to put in my computer, phone rings. Work calling me asking me to go down to Liverpool for a week, so its sitting in its box still...

Get home and the 4890 is released

Would i be able to return it any pay the difference for the 4890

Otherwise i would be very unhappy.

Thanks for all your answers.

How long since you bought the 4870? You can return under the distance sellers act, all you need to pay is postage.

personally I'd get onto OCUK on the dog and bone and see what they say.

You should be able to within 14 days or something you can return for refund. If you havent opened it up at all, even better. As Ben said just phone them lol

So after 2 phone calls, and 2 rather blunt answers i was told that i have to contact RMA support, and put in righting that i don't want the GFX Card.

Then they will refund me the difference. But i need to find out where the RMA support ? is ( well that is what they guy on the phone sounded like he was saying)

Any ideas where this form is.

I would have assumed if you picked it up from the store, just go to the store?

If you got it from the store, just pop back in, and ask nicely. Be calm, and i'm sure they'll help you out. :)

If you got it online, just send it back under the DSR.

Yes indeed i did, the man on the phone was insistent that i have to write on paper that i want to return my card, i said ok i will return it to the store with it written on paper that i would like to return it, so they can add it to my order form or something...

It seems that they want to make it difficult for me? because i have to send a RMA form off...

I am happy with there prices, and they are very pleasant staff at the store.

All i would like to do, is swap it and pay the difference? for the 4890

I think you were misunderstood.

Try again, if you don't get much luck you could try emailing someone like Yewen?

ok i will give them another call, im sure they will understand if explain it better.

It would be nice if someone with power/authority could look at this post and contact me...

There are shop staff who browse the forums, but not proactively unless you post in the Customer Support section. And in that case, you might as well send a webnote. :)

I will create a thread and divert them to this.

Thank you for all your help, is there a kudos system on this VB board to thank the helpful posters.

Shop members will answer your query if you post in here:

That said, I always think a traditional telephone call is a good idea:

Sales - UK 0870 443 0880
Support - UK 0871 222 8528
Systems Support - UK 0871 222 8529

I will create a thread and divert them to this.

Nope, plus my IQ tends to come and go, I wouldn't trust it on a long-term basis! :p

Resolving in customer support forum. :)

We have a technical support line for returns and technical support, webnotes for written contact as well.

You are required when returning goods under the distance selling at to provide prior written notice of your intention to return, which we then reply to with a RMA number. If you read the DSR this is stated and is the reasoning behind you being directed to a form.

It is not us being dificult just the procedure you have to follow to exercise your right of cancellation under the distance selling regulations.

I have posted in the customer support forum replying to your thread and require some personal information from you such as order number so I can see what we can do.
