I bought a summer jacket and jeans on Monday.

Jacket fits good, so keeping that. The jeans are too short (32 leg, no 34 leg option) and the thighs are too tight.

So not possible to wear on a bike.

I called up, spoke to a person INSTANTLY, no stupid menu's. Explained my issue with my jeans and asked for an alternative. She told me to look at 2 pairs online whilst on the phone, explaining why she chose them, RST's to be exact and said "in short, black or blue?".

She explained RST's are known to be slightly baggier in the thighs, 34 waist is true to size and 34 leg might be a bit longer than normal, but will be fine when sat on the bike.

Epic, someone who not only is happy to help, but also knows what she is talking about. So, she arranged on my account to order the new RST jeans as pending delivery until my current ones are received (ARMR jeans).

I created a return on my account as instructed by this lady and I've receied a free, next day delivery label with DPD, I just need to drop it off at one of their collection points (most corner shops).

I'm just so happy I shop with these guys, I've always bought 90% of my gear through them, sometimes they have been 3rd or even 4th from the cheapest, but with such an amazing service (free DPD next day delivery) and support. I can't think of why I would shop elsewhere online.

So yea, just a praise to sportsbikeshop.co.uk, thank you for your service :)

I ordered some boots from sportsbikeshop.co.uk before, which upon arrival, I didn't like.

Sent them back for free, zero hassle.

Decent shop with an excellent returns policy.

Nice to see there are still companies out there who take their customers seriously and do not view them as a walking pay cheque.

Thanks for the heads up. Next time I am thinking of buying some gear I will take a look at their site.

Which jacket, and would you recommend it?

http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/76321

Yes, I would STRONGLY recommend, pockets are a little small. I'm used to long length jackets, not the short motorbike ones so I'm alien to that but it fit's brilliantly and when you remove the lining. Air just flows through it. SOOOO nice.

You can see through the mesh if that helps give a picture. But places that need cover are indeed covered, and armour is as good as any other textile I've owned.

Worth every penny.

I'm 6'2" with long limbs.

I went for the medium, the chest could be a little snugger as it's an inch or 2 too big. But nothing extreme and doesn't 'fold' when I sit down. The arm length is perfect.

I'm 5'10" with a 42" chest and long arms. You think the medium is the one to go for? What's your chest size (ooh er!)?

You dodged a bullet with the ARMR Jeans. I had a pair of the Moto Hara ones and they lasted less than a week. Calf and thigh seams split, They weren't even tight. I doubt they would've been much use in a crash.

Those are the ones I had... Hara... Bugger, defo dodged a bullet there! Hopefully RST will be better, more of a named brand as well.

Yea, I went for the same. I'm a 40" chest. I went slightly bigger as said in the reviews. I'm still not entirely sure if I should risk going down a size... I'm worried it will be really short on my waist (above belt line)... But it would be that little bit more snug.

I'm going to motorway it home tonight with the jacket on as normal and no backpack... See how it feels.

Delivery isnt free. ;)

Huh, could have sworn it was? Maybe on a certain amount?

I didn't pay any on my recent order which came to £199...

EDIT: Returning the jacket, it's just a tad too loose for my liking. I want a snug fit so I don't have to wear my backpack without it rolling up or moving around. My order was changed, another shipping label sent. No issues. Will send it all off shortly.

Delivery will be in the price of the item, its why they are 3rd or 4th cheapest.

For example- Sportsbikeshop.co.uk is just a shed on Marsh Lane industrial park in Boston, they currently get charged around the £3.75 mark from DPD for a next day delivery, and send approx 150 cons a day, That is then rolled into the price of the items, which is why they are not as cheap as most people.
Hence the why I put that bit in bold on your post, not the cheapest but free delivery! deduct that £3.75 from their items and they probably would be for most of their stuff.

Nobody gives you "free" delivery, you pay for it somewhere along the line :)

Ah, that makes sense.

Well, that aside, I still rate them an excellent company for bike gear and my 1st choice to go to. Excellent customer service.

Yes they are very good.

Although I so far have only bought a pair of boots from them.

Apart from OCUK. :D;) Just for being a loyal member of these very forums :p

I got the same jackets as OP also a pair of RST gloves and boots. The boots came up one size to big so swapped for a size smaller with no hassle. As for not being the cheapest I could only find the gloves for £3 less else where but with £2.70 postage.
I've had quite a few things from them and have never been let down with there service and easy returns.

Also about to order a set of new Paddock stand for the weekend.

funny that i bought something from them maybe 2 years ago sent it back for a refund
i was told I've been refunded but wasn't I checked my bank account nearly month later and no refund issued! Called them then got refund. Over £200 can't remember what it was.

Yeah +1 to Sportsbikeshop.

Bought my helmet from there, didn't fit, they emailed me a free label to print off and return. Got my other helmet about 2 days later iirc.

Glad you're liking the jacket ags. I think I'll probably buy this. Will look for matching bottoms hopefully too.

Edit: hm, 40" in smallest chest. I'm a 38" suit man.

Mine arrives tomorrow.

I have some armoured Red Route jeans to use with it for the hot days, but my boots are ridiculously hot!
