:D

I have just found my Morrowind discs and i am going to start it on my latop tonight. (not played it since it first came out) Looking forward to playing it again.

I have just started downloading Morrowind 2011, which looks great, but i wondered if anyone had any other mod recommendations? (i'm not sure which mods this actually includes)
For example, i don't know if i need to download a better sky mod or not, as the sky has been modded in the compilation.

Also, i can't find any UI mods. does anyone know of any, i have downloaded a few mods from PlanetElderScrolls, but there are so many, that it's easy to get lost.

Any recommendations would be welcome:)

Thanks Arc@css, that is the thread that gave me the idea to download Morrowind 2011, was trawling through the mod database yesterday getting pretty lost(there are thousands now, and still being updated, brilliant!). I thought, "i'll check OCUK, i bet they will put me right":D and came across that thread, which had loads of graphics mods compiled and thought it was just what i was looking for, especially as i wouldn't have to worry about compatanility issues.

I thought Morrowind 2011 was supposed to be a crap compilation done without permission?

That is what i have read(about the permission),but it is recommended by quite a few people. and it is linked to on the Morrowind Steam store page. I couldn't find many places to download it, but found it in the end.
It does look very good indeed, but as i have said, there are probably other mods which will improve it further.

I think i'm reading that the mod was very much praised, but the modding community kicked up a fuss, as it was done without permission. (fair enough i suppose, but he did acknowledge everyone, and it's not like they get paid for them)

Thanks a lot treebiter:)
The thing that i am wondering is whether any of the graphics mods(grass mod etc) are already covered in the Graphics overhaul? I'll have a proper ead of the documentaion as there should be a thourough list of changes.

Just started looking through and downlaoding some mods. Looking through the Hall Of Fame on the PES website, downloaded about 20 and then noticed that they were sorted alphabetically and i was still on A:eek:

OMFG!!!!!

I have just installed the Morrowind sound and graphics overhaul and it looks stunning. If anyone has ever been put off playing this game because of the graphics, don't be because with this mod it easily looks as good as Oblivion (unmodded).

Took a while to install, but there is a superb walkthrough which takes you through step-by step for retail and steam versions.

I honestly can't believe how good it now looks. Draw distance is excellent, and the water is just amazing.

It really is amazing, you get loads of options such as which types of trees you would like etc. The trees look great now, and there are so many more of them. I always thought that exploring was much more fun in Oblivion, but now, with these new landscapes, i'm not so sure

Absloute top credit must go to the team behind this. I have never used a more user friendly mod, especially of this size. The walkthrough is first class

hehe, when installing the patch it shows you screenshots of the different types and how they will change the landscape to help you choose. Makes a big difference to the ladscape.

Yeah, i just had to dl the latest version of mge and then it worked perfectly. It is made very clear in the walkthrough to run everything as admin, so i just did.

I just noticed about Better Bodies, there is a message in MLOX saying that it is missing.

Are you playing around with a few mods then sldsmkd?

Just getting that pack working (which it is now). I take what I said about it looking as good as a modded Oblivion back tho.

Ha, i was gonna say, as good as unmodded Oblivion for sure, but not with mods.

I am just installing Morrowwnd comes alive, which adds load of NPC's. Should improve the game, but i will have to look at performance though.

I have decided to use Sound and Graphics overhaul as the only graphics mod as it looks great with it. I have added a few gameplay changing mods, but i had to do a reinstall as i was getting 2 of every npc:confused: which i think was down to Morrowind comes Alive.

I have animated Morrowind on which adds some npc's as well and also the animal behaviour mod. I am going to add quite a few more(got about 50 downlaoded)

some more screenies, just of the first area. The first screenshots i realised, were done without the patches to MGSO.:)

With the Seydaneen docks mod which adds some docks, ships and NPC's to Seydaneen (this was before applying the patches)

The sky looks great, though i thought it was pretty good in Vanilla tbh.

Graphics aren't everything, but it certainly helps that you can make the game look much better, especially as i imagine there are quite a few people who have been put off by the graphics of Morrowind:)

Morrowind, bloodmoon and tribunal.BSA's.

It is all explained step-by-step in the google docs walkthrough of Overhaul sound and graphics, if you are installing that mate:)

I have realised that it was the Seydaneen docks mod which was duplicating the npc's for some reason, so i will not be playing with that. I have New Syda Neen, which works fine, and looks better actually.

I can also recommend the following mods though, as i have got them working and they look good-
Animated Morrowind

Animal Realism
At Home Achemy
Better Bodies - needed with overhaul
Better heads
Bottle replacer
Book jackets morrowind
Combat enhanced
Darknuts creature textures
Darknuts Armour textures

Darknuts texture mods are very good.

These are the mods that i have installed so far, along with loads more downloaded and so far i have not had any conflicts.
