Hey guys, complete newbie here when it comes to watercooling. Always used air cooling but the lower temperatures and reduced noise have begun to tempt me recently. Been reading up on what is needed for a loop but thought I would ask the experts first!

Looking to watercool my 2600k and gtx 670 in my Fractal R4 case. Looking to see if this is possible for around about £150-£200?

Cheers!

Hi
I'm no expert and new like you, but you will need to add another £50-£100
to you budget for good worth while parts.
I'm now getting into w/cooling and it a mine field of choices

mhvcbv is right.

With a budget like that, you're better off buying a decent air cooler/CLC and quiet fans (NoiseBlocker/Noctua/BeQuiet etc).

Use that budget and do CPU only if you are really after custom cooling. High end air coolers are usually fine for most peoples overclocking and cooling needs. Same with CLC, though imo they cant be considered as proper cooling loops as they perform on par or worse than some top end air coolers and can be noisy and less reliable.

It is possible to do it second hand for £200 but tbh, the 670 is not a card worth water cooling imo. Better to go quality new CPU only loop and include the GPU at a later date when you upgrade it.
