It was more orange than red and luckily a dollop of antiseptic cream seems to have calmed things down a bit.. not sure if I'm going to wake up in the morning with a swollen limb

I'm a bit worried as to why you want to see photos of my naked leg but here goes:
You can see the bite towards the right of the picture and the discolouration of the leg to the left of it (sort of blue veiny stuff)..

I remember a news report years ago when the Greenfly population dwindled and there was a huge surplus of lady bugs, pretty much all humans were fair game with regards food supply. I think the reporter on BBC news got bit while doing the report but this could have been a weak attempt at humor.
Don't want to alarm you mate but that yellow one is one of those Farrian (sp?) beetles. We used to be warned about them at school about 30 years ago, Some kind of weird wind blows them over from Egypt or summit.
