Not enough to retire unfortunately but a nice Brucey Bonus for Christmas.

It was from a raffle ticket, I don't normally buy them but the cash was going to help disabled children so I thought id buy one as it was for a good cause and my mum does voluntary work for the disabled.

First time I've really won anything good, duel 8800 gtx's are tempting but I will resit

It's money you didn't expect so put it in something like shares. You may lose some but the chances are you'd make even more.

Don't tell the mrs, put it all on red, if you win, keep the original £1000, save it for a rainy day and don't tell the mrs, give mrs the winnings. If you lose its no big deal. If you win, you win.
